Medicare Assistance with a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP)
While a Medicare referral is not mandatory to access our services at Meyer Institute, there are significant advantages if you are referred by a GP, psychiatrist, or pediatrician under a Mental Health Care Plan. This referral makes you eligible for a Medicare rebate for up to 10 sessions per calendar year, easing a substantial portion of your session fees. To optimize this rebate, you can provide your referral letter/plan during your initial appointment or have it sent to us in advance. Private Health Insurance
Even without a Medicare referral, you may still qualify for rebates from your private health insurance provider. The specifics of eligibility and rebate amounts can vary among different insurance funds, so it is important to confirm this information with your private health provider. Please advise Meyer Institute when booking that you would like to access your private health insurance rebates, we have access to major private health insurance funds Australia wide.
