Choose the question you want answered

You do not need to know the name of a test. Choose the pathway that is closest to your concern, or use the enquiry form and we will help you decide.

IQ Testing and Cognitive Assessment

Understand cognitive strengths and support needs across reasoning, working memory and processing speed.

Learning Difficulties and
Dyslexia Assessment

Assess reading, writing, spelling or mathematics difficulties and clarify whether further learning support is needed.

ADHD Assessment

Assess lifelong patterns of attention, impulsivity, activity level and executive

functioning across everyday settings.

Autism and ADHD Screening

Use a shorter first step to decide whether a comprehensive autism, ADHD or combined assessment is warranted.

Memory Assessment

Explore how information is learned, stored and recalled, and how memory

difficulties affect everyday life.

Executive Function Assessment

Understand difficulties with planning, starting, organising, shifting attention and following through.

Autism Assessment

Explore lifelong patterns in communication, social interaction, sensory experience, routines and focused interests.

Complex Assessment and
Diagnostic Clarification

Bring together overlapping concerns, earlier reports or mixed findings through a

staged assessment plan.

Not sure which assessment you need?

Tell us the person's age, what is difficult, what you hope to understand and who will use the report. We can then advise whether a focused assessment, screening, broader diagnostic clarification or another service is the better starting point.

The initial recommendation is about suitability and scope. It does not confirm a diagnosis, fee, report outcome or appointment until these details are agreed with you.

How psychological assessment works

1. Enquire

Tell us the main question, age, intended use and any important timeframe.

2. Confirm the scope

The psychologist reviews suitability, relevant records, assessment options, fees and the proposed format.

3. Complete the assessment

The agreed interviews, questionnaires and standardised measures are completed under suitable conditions.

4. Understand the findings

Results are integrated with background information, explained in feedback and documented as agreed.

A clear plan before assessment begins

Before you book, you should understand what is being assessed, why it is relevant, what information is needed and what is included in the fee.

  • An agreed referral question and assessment scope

  • A clear list of appointments, questionnaires or records required

  • Feedback about the findings

  • A written report when included in the agreed service

  • Practical recommendations and next-step options

What an assessment can and cannot do

Assessment can contribute evidence, explanation and recommendations. It cannot guarantee a diagnosis, NDIS access, funding, school adjustments, workplace decisions or acceptance by another organisation.

Some questions require a GP, paediatrician, psychiatrist, speech pathologist, occupational therapist, clinical neuropsychologist or another professional. We will explain when a different or combined pathway is more appropriate.

Turn assessment findings into practical support

A report is most useful when its recommendations can be applied in everyday life. Psychological support may be available with or without a new assessment, depending on the person's goals and clinical needs.

ADHD Psychological Support

Practical and emotional support for attention, routines, follow-through and

self-understanding.

Executive Function and
Learning Strategies

Support for planning, task initiation, study, work and daily systems

Autism-Informed Psychological Support

Affirming support that respects communication, sensory and access needs.

Memory Strategy Support

Practical systems for remembering, organising information and following through.

Frequently asked questions

Which psychological assessment should I choose?

Start with the question you need answered. Intake can help determine whether cognitive, memory, learning, executive function, ADHD, autism, screening or broader clarification is most suitable.

Does one test diagnose ADHD, autism or a learning disorder?

No. A single score or questionnaire is not a complete diagnostic process. Relevant history, functioning, observations and other evidence may be required.

Can an assessment be completed online?

Some interviews, questionnaires and test components may be suitable for telehealth. Other components require in-person or controlled administration. Suitability is confirmed before booking.

Will another organisation accept the report?

Ask the organisation what it requires before booking. Schools, employers, insurers, funders and government agencies apply their own criteria and make their own decisions.

Do I need a referral?

You can enquire directly. A referral or information from a health professional may still be helpful or required for some assessment questions.
