FAQ
Can I use my NDIS funding for psychology?
NDIS psychology may be suitable where psychology support is connected to disability-related needs, functional goals, capacity building, independence, emotional regulation, self-management or participation. The funding pathway depends on the participant’s plan and plan management arrangements.
Do I need to know whether I need therapy, assessment or a report?
No. The form asks what you are looking for and what stage you are at. Meyer Institute can then help identify whether the enquiry is about therapy, functional capacity assessment, psychological assessment, NDIS application evidence, plan review reporting or another pathway.
Can families or carers submit the form?
Yes. Parents, guardians, carers and family members can submit the form where they are appropriately involved and have consent or authority to assist.
Can support coordinators use this page?
Support coordinators and professional referrers should ideally use the separate referral partner form because it collects more detail, including plan management, funding, risk, goals and document uploads.
Can you guarantee NDIS funding or approval?
No. Meyer Institute can provide clinically appropriate psychology, assessment and reporting, but NDIS access, funding, plan decisions and payment decisions are made by the NDIA and relevant plan arrangements.
