WorkCover WA / WA Workers Compensation Psychology

WorkCover WA Psychologist

Meyer Institute accepts enquiries from Western Australian workers and referrers seeking psychology support for work-related stress, trauma, psychological injury, adjustment to physical injury, pain-related distress and return-to-work concerns.

WA workers compensation claims are managed through the WA scheme and insurer or self-insurer pathway, with treatment subject to the relevant approvals and clinical suitability.

WA pages should emphasise First Certificate of Capacity and insurer/self-insurer approval. WorkCover WA regulates the scheme, but treatment decisions commonly involve the insurer or self-insurer.

Already approved, claim pending or not sure?

Psychology already approved

If psychology has already been approved, provide your claim number, insurer or claims contact, approval letter or referral details so the intake team can confirm the next step.

Claim lodged but approval unclear

If your claim has been lodged but psychology approval is unclear, complete the form and upload any certificate, referral or insurer correspondence. Meyer Institute can review what information appears to be missing.

No claim yet

If no claim has been lodged, the usual first step is to see your GP or treating doctor and ask about the correct certificate and claim process for WA.

Referrer submitting documents

GPs, rehabilitation providers, case managers and insurers can use the referral partner portal to upload claim details, reports, approvals and referral documents.

WorkCover WA regulates and administers the WA scheme. Claims are commonly managed through approved insurers and self-insurers.

Yes. The referral or enquiry form should allow upload of your certificate, claim form, insurer emails, referral and reports.

Can Meyer Institute confirm funding before the first appointment?

The intake team can review the documents and help clarify what approval appears to be needed, but the insurer/self-insurer decides funding and payment approvals.
